Toni Bou is the series leader with 95 points, followed by teammate Gabriel Marcelli.

After a ten-year absence, the X-Trial World Championship comes to the UK for the sixth round of the season this weekend, visiting the Northern city of Leeds. The Repsol Honda riders head into the second half of the 2026 season as frontrunners, with Toni Bou in first place in the standings with 95 points, followed by Gabriel Marcelli with 72.

After securing five victories and a second-place finish to date, Bou has a 23-point advantage overall. The Repsol Honda HRC rider will be looking for another win in Leeds to extend that cushion. The last time the Montesa Cota 4RT man competed in Great Britain in the X-Trial World Championship, he finished in second place.

Marcelli has been on a strong streak in the first five rounds of the campaign. He has five second-place finishes and one third-place in the contests held so far, results that place him second in the overall standings with 72 points -ten points ahead of third-placed Jaime Busto. The Repsol Honda rider’s objective this weekend will be to stay in contention for the win and achieve the best possible result.

The event will take place at 5pm (local time) on Saturday at the First Direct Bank Arena.

Toni Bou

Championship: 1st

“Over these past few weeks we’ve been able to prepare well for the second half of the season with various indoor tests, and we’ve been improving physically, so I’m really looking forward to the weekend. We have a very good lead in the World Championship; we’ve had a fantastic start to the season with four wins in five races, but as always, we’re aware that the level of competition is very high, and the goal is to maintain our position. Returning to Great Britain is incredible; it’s a place where the sport is very popular, and I’m sure it will be amazing.”

Gabriel Marcelli

Championship: 2nd

“The break has been good for me, and I’ve been able to rest. We’re really looking forward to getting back to competing and continuing in the same way as before. The goal is to win. We’re having a good season, and the level of competition is very high; to reach this point in the season and get a victory would be incredible. We’ll work to maintain our second place overall and achieve that first win I’ve been looking for.”

Takahisa Fujinami

Team Manager

“We arrive in Leeds top of the standings. The team have worked well, and the results reflect the effort and consistency of both riders. Toni has been at a high level since the start, and Gabri is being very competitive in every event, which allows us to approach this second half of the season with confidence. The return of X-Trial to the UK makes it a special event, and the goal will be to maintain our current level of performance and continue fighting for the top positions.”
