The Repsol Honda HRC riders prepare to make their mark on Stavanger’s debut as a World Championship venue.

Repsol Honda HRC face the fifth round of the 2025 X-Trial World Championship season in Stavanger. It will be the first time that the Norwegian town hosts an indoor event, and Toni Bou and Gabriel Marcelli want to open their record at the DNB Arena with the best possible results.

Bou leads the general classification with 75 points. He has three wins out of the four rounds held so far, the most recent this past weekend in Barcelona. The Repsol Honda rider will seek to increase his lead as much as possible and claim a win for the fourth time this season.

Marcelli is in top form after taking third place in Barcelona. The Montesa Cota 4RT rider is heading into the second half of the season looking to improve on his results to date, and will aim to get into the fight for the win this weekend. He currently has two podiums in four races in 2025.

The action at the DNB Arena will get underway at 6pm local time.

Toni Bou

Championship: 1st

"We're looking forward to the race in Norway, with the good momentum we have with our results. It's the first time we'll be competing in Stavanger, so it'll be important not to make any mistakes and to remain competitive. Jaime's slip-up in Barcelona gives us a bit of a gap, but taking into account that the worst result doesn't count towards the standings, the margin is not that big, so we'll remain focused on getting a good result. I'm happy with the four races we've had in the World Championship, we've put together a lot of victories in a row and we'll have to keep working hard to maintain that level."

Gabriel Marcelli

Championship: 4th

"The preparation has been a bit difficult because we have many races in a row, but the positive thing is that you gain experience and you are more relaxed, since there is no better training than a race. The goal is still to get our first victory in the World Championship. I think I had a great performance in Barcelona, so we will try to fine-tune some things to achieve the victory in Norway. With these new regulations, it is vital to have a good first round, so we will try to start well."

Takahisa Fujinami

Team Manager

“It's the first time that Toni and Gabri will be competing in Stavanger, so we're really looking forward to it. The win and the podium in Barcelona have given the whole team great motivation. With the races so close together, it's important to stay focused, so we're hoping to put in a good performance this weekend. Toni is coming in very strong, and the goal will be to fight for victory, just like for Gabri, who took a step forward at the last race at the Palau Sant Jordi."
