With one trial still to run before the end of the 2016 season, Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou has mathematically sealed the FIM Trial World Championship title in Chiampo, Italy.

Toni Bou has clinched the 2016 FIM Trial World Championship in Italy. The triumph is the tenth title for the Repsol Honda Team rider in the outdoor discipline, bringing the overall tally to twenty (10 indoor + 10 outdoor).

Bou wraps up a fabulous season with the highest number of wins: 11 victories out of a possible 14 disputed, in spite of some serious doubts after picking up a shoulder injury in pre-season training. Toni took top honours in each of the grand prix of Germany, Andorra, Belgium, Great Britain, as well as single wins in the two-day events in Catalonia, Japan and France. And in Italy finally win the title with a massive win, with 13 points over the 56 points of his nearest rival in the championship.
