Toni Bou moves closer to his 37th world title and Gabriel Marcelli aims for his first victory in the indoor discipline.

This weekend marks the penultimate round of the X-Trial World Championship season, with a race in Cahors, France. The event could be decisive in Toni Bou’s title pursuit, as after a brilliant season he will look to strike the definitive blow. Gabriel Marcelli, meanwhile, remains in third place in the championship with 63 points.

Saturday is an important day for Bou, who, with five wins in six races so far, will be looking to secure his 37th world title. It would be his 19th in the indoor discipline. His visit to Cahors, a city where he won the TrialGP Championship last season, requires him to take just a single point to secure the 2025 crown. The Montesa Cota 4RT rider’s goal will be to maintain the level he has displayed throughout the year to date.

Marcelli continues to improve his results, after overcoming the difficulties of the early stages of the season. With four podium finishes, three of them consecutive, he sits third in the overall standings, and his goal remains to achieve his first race victory. The Repsol Honda rider’s consistent progress reflects his talent and determination, making it clear that he is ready to take a step up.

The Cahors X-Trial will be held on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. (local time) at the Parc des Expositions du Grand Cahors.

Toni Bou

Championship: 1st

“We're really looking forward to Cahors. It's a special city for me, as I was able to win the TrialGP title there last season, so I have some very good memories of it. We have a good opportunity this weekend, so the goal will be to continue the good results we've shown so far. The weekend you can win the World Championship is always different; there's more nerves and pressure, but we'll focus on putting in a good performance.”

Gabriel Marcelli

Championship: 3rd

“I've found more of a rhythm with the new regulations in the last few races and I've adapted to be able to qualify directly for the final. I'm excited about Cahors because we're coming off a very good third-place finish in Austria. The goal is to improve my consistency in the final and fight for my first win. I think I need to make fewer mistakes in the finals because they are very costly, but we're working hard to achieve our goals.”

Takahisa Fujinami

Team Manager

“This weekend is very important for the team, because Toni can take the X-Trial title. The goal will be to get the best possible result and for him to keep his nerves at bay. Gabri, meanwhile, is coming off some very good results in recent races, so I hope he can take another step forward and fight for first place. Cahors will be an important event where we'll try to give our all.”
