Toni Bou arrives as the newly-crowned World Champion, and Gabriel Marcelli fights for his first podium finish.
The 2025 X-Trial World Championship season concludes this weekend in Tallinn, Estonia. Toni Bou comes into the event as winner of his 37th World Title -his 19th in the indoor discipline- clinched just a few weeks ago in Cahors, France. Gabriel Marcelli is third in the overall standings.
Bou will be looking for his sixth X-Trial win of the year at the event. In the previous round, where he took the title, he finished second due to an error in the final section -losing out to Jaime Busto. The Montesa Cota 4RT rider will try to close out the season in the best possible way, with his 91st victory in the indoor series.
Marcelli is still motivated to take his first ever race win. The Spaniard, who didn’t have the best results at the beginning of the year, due to adapting to the new regulations, currently holds third place in the overall standings. Although the runner-up spot in the series has eluded him, the Repsol Honda rider maintains his aspirations of finishing the year with a strong result.
The action at the Palais Nikaiaba will start at 5:00 PM local time on Saturday.
Toni Bou
“It will be a slightly strange race, because we are focused on TrialGP. Switching disciplines is a bit tricky, but we are going into the weekend eager to close out the season with a good result. The goal is always the victory, although we have done our job by securing the title. The assessment for 2025 is very good; it has been a very consistent year, and I'm happy with the work made by the team.”
Gabriel Marcelli
“It's a bit strange to have this race after having started the TrialGP World Championship, but I hope to close out the season with a good result; we are coming in eager to put on a good show. The start of the season wasn't particularly good, but I was able to adapt my strategy in the races and get back to fighting within the Top 3. Closing the season with a victory is our goal. Last year I came very close to achieving it at Tallinn, and I think it could be the perfect setting to finish 2025 on a high note.”
Takahisa Fujinami
"Although the title is already decided, we approach this final race with the same enthusiasm and commitment as always. Toni has had a spectacular season, and we want to close out the year with another victory. Gabri has shown great progress, and this final race could be the ideal place for him to achieve that great result he's fought so hard for. The team are motivated, focused, and eager to put on a great show to bid farewell to this season with a good showing."
