The reigning champion leads the way with 151 points. Teammate Gabriel Marcelli is third.

Andorra, one of the most demanding events on the calendar, will host the fifth round of the TrialGP World Championship season this weekend. Toni Bou arrives as leader with an 8-point lead over Jaime Busto. Gabriel Marcelli is third with 111 points.

The current series leader, Bou achieved two victories at the San Marino TrialGP. The Repsol Honda Trial Team rider has 151 points overall, and in Andorra he will aim to extend his lead in the standings. For Bou, the event in the Pyrenees is one of the most special on the calendar, in front of his home fans.

Marcelli is third overall, with a three point lead over fourth placed Adam Raga. The Repsol Honda Team rider achieved his best result in the outdoor series at the San Marino TrialGP, where he was second on the first day. Marcelli’s objective will be to get on the podium again and be consistent over the two days.

On Friday the technical and administrative verifications will take place, as well as the training sessions and visits to the areas. The first race of the TrialGP in Andorra will begin on Saturday from 9am.

Toni Bou

Championship: 1ST

“The Andorra race is always very important and we have even more motivation after the two victories in San Marino. It is an important weekend for us because of how the season is going. The key this year is to be consistent and not make mistakes. It is very positive that I have an eight point lead because things are very tight. The objective is obviously to further increase our advantage, but we know that it is tough. We have to try to have a good feeling on the bike, like we had in San Marino."

Gabriel Marcelli

Championship: 3RD

“I think that last Saturday we showed that we are at a level not only to be fighting to enter the Top 3, but to climb a few more positions as well. That recharges our batteries for this weekend in Andorra. With such close races we prioritise rest and that's what I think I'm going to do this week, because I had a couple of crashes from which I'm still sore. I'm at a good level right now and what I need is to carry that over to each zone, avoiding making too many mistakes. In Andorra, the objective will be perseverance and regularity."

Takahisa Fujinami

Team Manager

"Until the race in Japan, Toni was tied on points with Jaime. After the two races in San Marino he has a lead of 8 points. The objective in Andorra is to win both days and to get more points. For Gabri, it was very important to get the second position in San Marino. He has to trust him more because he has the level to fight for the top positions. In the championship we are very close on points with Adam Raga and the objective will be to fight to finish as high as possible".
